- Vinsurance has applied the latest XML technology, which allows distributed applications
to share business logic over a network, to a standard insurance company calculation,
Unearned Factors. Until now, the Unearned Factors Calculation could only be processed
by legacy insurance company software applications or manually with a slide-rule
like calculator wheel. For the first time, the calculation is available to insurance
industry computer systems and personnel as a XML-based Web Service.
